14th ANNUAL MASS & BENEFIT DINNER

The Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America is pleased to announce its upcoming Annual Mass with benefactors and Benefit Dinner. This meaningful occasion will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the historic Franciscan Monastery in Washington, D.C.

The Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America is delighted to announce the upcoming 14th edition of the Annual Mass & Benefit Dinner. This initiative unites the Friars of the Monastery with individuals of goodwill who share a deep commitment to preserving this sacred corner of the Holy Land in Washington, D.C., and supporting ongoing efforts to promote and sustain the Franciscan presence in the Holy Land.

The Pope entrusted the Franciscans with the sacred duty of safeguarding the holy places of Christianity and supporting the local Christian community. Since then, followers of St. Francis of Assisi have faithfully carried out this essential mission of safeguarding and advancing the sites where Jesus walked. This commitment is exemplified by the Franciscan province in the Holy Land, known as the “Custodia Terrae Sanctae” (Custody of the Holy Land). This year also marks a significant milestone for the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America, as we celebrate our 125th Anniversary. Founded under the guidance of Fr. Godfrey Schilling, OFM, and consecrated on September 17, 1899, this historic site in the Nation’s Capital has been a revered destination for pilgrimage and prayer.

The Friars of the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America warmly invite you to join them for this special event.

Your participation and support are crucial in continuing this important work.
