Scholar Michael Novak was a founding member of the Honorary Board of the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America. After he passed away on February 17, 2017, Fr. Larry Dunham, OFM, Guardian of the Franciscan Monastery, shared a brief remembrance:
“Michael Novak served as an active member of the Honorary Board of the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America until his death. He was deeply committed to our mission of service for Christians in the Holy Land and a friend to the friars. We will miss his kindness and wisdom, and will pray for the repose of his soul.”
