13th Annual Mass and Gala Fundraising Dinner

The Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America is glad to announce its annual Mass with benefactors and the ritual Gala Fundraising Dinner on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at its premises located at 1400 Quincy Street N.E., Washington, DC.

In fact, this year will see the thirteenth edition of this initiative in which the friars of the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America will meet with women and men of good will interested in keeping alive this fragment of the Holy Land in Washington DC and supporting their tireless work of promoting and supporting the Franciscan presence in the places of redemption.

In particular, our 2023 Mass & Benefit Dinner celebrates the 800th anniversary of the first Nativity Scene, created by St. Francis, and honors Holy Family Hospital of Bethlehem for their work caring for mothers and infants in the birthplace of Christ.

Franciscans were entrusted more than 800 years ago by the pope to guard the holy places of Christianity and support the local Christian community. Since then, the followers of St. Francis of Assisi have been fulfilling this most precious mission of protecting and promoting the places where Jesus walked. For this mission related to safeguarding places and people, the Franciscan province in the Holy Land is called “Custodia Terrae Sanctae” (Custody of the Holy Land).

The friars of the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America invite you to join!
