Have you ever considered living in the way of St. Francis?
Do you feel a connection to the Holy Land and desire to nurture Christianity where it began?
Are you being called to be a Holy Land friar?
The Holy Land Franciscans care for the Holy Land, its shrines, its pilgrims, and its people–the “living stones.” Their way of life began 800 years ago when St. Francis’ meeting with a sultan secured their presence there. Today, they continue their mission of caring for the homeland of Christ.
To become a Holy Land Franciscan is to make a commitment to serve the Holy Land as your homeland and to lay down your life for the sake of the Christians who struggle to remain there. It is to serve the pilgrims who are there to deepen their faith, and it is to preserve the holy sites that are most important to the Christian faith.
