Celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi at the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land. The Transitus, which marks the passing of St. Francis of Assisi from earthly to eternal life, will be Monday, Oct. 3, 7 p.m., 1400 Quincy St. NE, Washington, DC 20017. The service begins in the church, with a candlelight procession to the Portiuncula Chapel in the monastery gardens.
