Feast of St Junipero Serra

Franciscan Junipero Serra was canonized by Pope Francis here in Washington, DC, and the Monastery hosted special observances in connection with the event. Recalling that celebration, we will celebrate the 7:00 a.m. Mass and welcome visitors for coffee afterward. Visit the calendar of events to see all the happenings at the Monastery.

Garden Tour

Enjoy the beautiful gardens at the Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land while learning about its plants, architecture, history and shrines. Free tours are held every Saturday, 11 a.m. and noon, with guides from the Franciscan Monastery Garden Guild.
